A Local Brewery Built on Craft, Patience & Soul
Golden Age Brewery started with a simple belief: that beer tastes best when it is brewed in small batches by hand, served fresh to neighbors, and enjoyed with great music playing in the background.
Founded in 2026 by Jeremy Hawkins, Golden Age is an independent homemade craft brewery located in historic Westfield, New Jersey. Jeremy grew up immersed in two passions—the meticulous art of grain-to-glass homebrewing, and the golden era of late-80s and 90s hip-hop, where artists built timeless classics out of raw soul samples and unmatched lyrical dedication.
That same work ethic defines every boil at Golden Age. There are no automated shortcuts or mass-distribution tricks here. Every tank is monitored personally by Jeremy, using local New Jersey malt and fresh hops, while classic wax records spin on the taproom turntables.
"Whether you’re crafting a classic beat or brewing a fresh IPA, you have to respect the foundation. We brew honest beer for honest people who appreciate good flavor and good music."
How We Brew in New Jersey
Our three commitments to small-batch quality and grain-to-glass integrity.
Local Farm Sourcing
We partner with local Garden State growers for malted barley, specialty wheat, seasonal berries, and raw clover honey to keep our recipes connected to the soil.
Direct-Flame Boils
We brew on a custom 5-barrel direct-fired system, creating natural caramelization, rich mouthfeel, and complex malt depths that automated commercial setups miss.
Patient Cellaring
We never rush fermentation. Our lagers are cold conditioned for up to 8 weeks, and our IPAs are dry-hopped at exact temperature windows for optimal aroma retention.
Pull Up a Stool in Westfield
Our tasting room is a warm, relaxed neighborhood gathering spot in downtown Westfield. Grab a fresh pint, check out what's spinning on the turntable, and catch up with friends.
